NEW . . . Whistler guidebook - OUT NOW...
For the 2008/9 season Mad Dog Ski are publishing our first guidebook to a non-European resort. We've chosen Whistler which combines the wildness of Canada and world class skiing with great service, fantastic restaurant and spirited apres-ski. Consistently voted the most popular ski resort on the continent, the fact that Whistler will host the 2010 Winter Olympics has added to the buzz.
The book includes all that you need to get the most from your holiday, giving you the inside view on everything from the best restaurants and bars to the most exciting pistes. Highlights include...
- A complete review of the ski area, including three step-by-step recommended day trips, complete with suggstions for lunch and apres-ski breaks.
- Our favourite places to eat and drink in resort
- Independent reviews of all the mountain restaurants
- What to do when you're not skiing, from trekking and tobogganing to shopping and massages
- Top tips on where to stay with your kids, how to keep them busy - and who will look after them while you ski
......and the best part...... it all fits in your jacket pocket!

Resort researchers
Passionate about your resort? Know it inside out?
Want to get paid for telling us about it?
We need researchers in ski resorts in Europe and North America to give the insider's view on your resort. You'll need to be able to give us the low-down on what makes your resort special and write reviews for your favourite restaurants and apres-ski. We also need some more practical stuff like where to find the doctor, post office or telephone.
You must have good writing skills and be able to work to a deadline (exceptions allowed for fresh powder days!). You'll also need to have easy online access. Part of the job involves telling us your favourite places to ski so, preferably, you'll be at least an intermediate skier or snowboarder. We pay a retainer with the potential for an end of season bonus but this is not a full time job so you will need other means of support.
Your weekly resort report will then get posted on
maddogski.com.

Zermatt
Sitting beneath one of Switzerland's most recognisable peaks, Zermatt is often argued to be one of the best ski resorts in the world. This could be due to its charming village, fantastic ski area, mountain restaurants, or perhaps simply its breathtaking views, always dominated by the presence of the Matterhorn.
