A rustic restaurant, away from all the bustling activity of Plan Checrouit, this is the perfect place to while away the hours. The welcoming hosts, Giacomo and Luciana will instantly make you feel at home and ensure you have plenty to taste. Once you’ve taken your fill of all the photos and artefacts that adorn the walls and ceilings in here, it’s time to turn your attention to the food. For antipasti (dishes from €8), the tomino caldo con mocetta (cured mountain goat with warm local cheese) is fantastic as is the focaccia with fresh tomatoes. For the first course, the trio of pasta for two people (€10 each) is outstanding. If you still have room left after that, try a hearty polenta dish with mushrooms (€11) or sausage (€12). In the evenings, the restaurant runs meals with torchlit skiing or sledge races back down.
