There are plenty of things to keep the children amused from Victorian Carrousel to a modern games arcade for the older ones. Several of the ski schools have lessons for children and there are a number of creches/nurseries available to choose from. Most of the accommodation in Cauterets is child friendly.  The Mulcares in the Pyrenees offer self catered apartments that are ideal for families along with baby and toddler packs containing useful equipment such as travel cots and high chairs.  See 'The List' for emergency numbers.

Where to eat with the family ?

As with most restaurants in France, the restaurants in Cauterets are child friendly. Choose informal buzzy restaurants with child friendly menus and atmospheres such as Le Royalty or Pizzeria Giovanni or any of the various creperies and pizzerias in town. However the Hotel La Sacca offers more formal true French cuisine and welcome children and will happily tailor dishes for them.
