Les Arcs is part of one of the largest ski areas in the world. The Vanoise Express connects Plan Peisey in Les Arcs to La Plagne (via Les Coches), creating the combined Paradiski ski area. The ski range goes from 1200m to 3200m, and Les Arcs alone has 200km of marked piste. In the whole Paradiski area that rises to 425km. There are 54 ski lifts, and 143 in the whole Paradiski area.Here there is skiing and boarding for all standards. Beginners and intermediate skiers are well-catered for, but more advanced skiers are probably better off in Les Arcs than neighbouring La Plagne. You will often find powder to the side of the pistes days after ski resorts such as Val d'Isere have been skied out. For the more advanced, snowparks, off-piste and a huge scope of pisted runs makes the resort a popular choice for both locals at weekends and British clients.

Beginners:
There are ‘ski tranquille’ nursery slope zones above each ot the three main Arcs and at mid-mountain above Peisey-Vallandry.
Intermediates :
If you like your moguls, try the Comborciere black from Les Deux Tetes down to Pre-St-Esprit.
Advanced:
The Aiguille Rouge-Villaroger run is a superb black above Arc 2000, with varied terrain and a vertical drop of over 2000m.
Off-piste:
From Col de la Chal there is an easy route down to Pont Bodin near Nancroix.
