- Horse riding - riding a horse around the lake or alternatively, try ski joering - being pulled along behind on skis
- Paragliding - Skiing off the side of the Toviere mountain and floating back down to reality on a paraglide
- Snow shoeing - Heading off on snow shoes for the day to see the local wildlife and scenery around the resort
- Spa experience - spend the day at the new and huge Le Lagon leisure centre
- Skidooing - jet off around the mountains stopping for a vin chaud along the way

- La Grange, Val Claret - a great selection of Savoie products from confiture du lait sweets to whole preserved hams and cheeses
- Cooperative Laitiere de Haute Terantaise, le Lac - local farmers' cheeses and meats - the cheese here is out of this world - try the Beaufort d'ete cheese made from cows who have grazed high alpine pastures all summer
- Snocool, Le Lac - as well as hiring equipment, Snocool also sell brands such as WESC, Burton and Salomon.
- Favre Sports, Val Claret - a huge shop with a wide selection of clothes, hardware and a specialised boot fitting section
- SPAR, Le Lac - This supermarket has everything from your usual staples goods to a fresh meat counter to a local produce area - great for takign presents home.
