Park Waldhaus Hotel

The 5 star Park Waldhaus Hotel was recently refurbished in part with a new lobby area and now offers two styles of rooms - traditional comfort for those frequent and regular guests who prefer things cosy, and a thoroughly modern style that wouldn't look out of place in a more metropolitan setting for those who prefer things chic. The hotel consists of a series of buildings interconnected by underground corridors. A big advantage of this is that you don't have to worry about noise from late night revellers in any of the hotel's 4 bars. The Jungendstil Pavilion that houses the modern lounge / lobby bar is an excellent example of restored Belle Epoque architecture. Although the best thing about it is not the triple story high ceiling and carefully restored period features, but the VIP bar tucked away high above the crowd. With access via key card, for those privileged enough to enter, the room is decked out in red leather and has private lockers for members to store their favourite tipple. Each table is also supplied with a pair of opera glasses should one wish to observe how the plebs have fun. With 6 restaurants and a kitchen that has been awarded 16 GaultMillau points, there is a style of dining room and cuisine to meet most needs. The hotel also has its own museum of the history of the Park Waldhaus and, on occasion, dinners are hosted in the 7 rooms with a different course in each, and a tour guide to explain the highlights.  A children's play area, crèche and private dining room is available, enabling parents to relax and enjoy dinner for two. A first class spa is on site and provides a wide range of treatments as well as a fitness centre.The hotel also provides a frequent shuttle bus to and from the lift stations in Flims, and will arrange equipment hire for guests in advance if requested.
