Take the Galzig gondola up to Galzig, then the Valluga 1 gondola (in same station) up to Vallugagrat. Pedestrians can go up as foot passengers and take in the amazing view. With a panoramic view that enhances the otherwise plain and simple décor, at 2650m this is the highest restaurant in resort. Enjoy simple dishes such as soup (€3.60-4.30), toasts (€5.50-6.20) and schnitzel (€11.10) for surprisingly reasonable prices, considering the location. Afterwards take a trip up to Valluga (2811m) which has a wonderful view across the peaks. Remember that you're only allowed on the Valluga II gondola with your skis if you have an official guide with you. Somehow this whole experience has a James Bond 70s feel to it. Opening hours depend on weather conditions and can therefore be erratic; you should check information boards at base stations. Open 9am-4.30pm.
